Amidst allegations of inappropriate, non-consensual touching from multiple students, Associate Professor of Chemistry Jonathan Barnes is no longer teaching his section of organic chemistry for the rest of the semester, as of Nov. 14.
Late in the second half of their Elite Eight matchup against University of Chicago, the No. 1 WashU women’s soccer team was struggling to find a breakthrough. The conference rivals — who had tied their last five matches against each other — were locked in a defensive stalemate on Francis Field with a Final Four spot on the line.
With 47 seconds left in the game, first-year guard Ava Blagojevich converted a layup to score the Bears’ 115th point of the game and set a program record for points scored by WashU in a single game. The previous record stood for over 25 years, set in a 114-47 win against Beloit College in 1999.
WashU is proposing to relocate its baseball, softball, intramural, and club sports facilities to the land it is leasing from Concordia Seminary, as part of an effort to expand and modernize its athletic facilities. However, the plans are facing scrutiny from Clayton residents, who worry that the new facilities will create too much noise and traffic.
