WashU publicly announced its plans to break ground in Spring 2025 on Riney Hall, a new building in Arts & Sciences that was motivated by the ongoing growth of Arts & Sciences programs and departments.
As the sun set over Brookings Hall on Wednesday evening, nearly 350 people gathered in Brookings Quadrangle to listen as speakers lit candles, sang songs, and said prayers in honor of those killed and taken hostage, just over a year after Hamas’ attacks on Oct. 7.
For many WashU community members, the defining political issue on campus in the past year has been the Israel-Hamas war that began on Oct. 7.
Ware’s breakout performance helped lead the WashU football team to a 65-16 win over Carthage College on Oct. 12. WashU’s running backs combined for 469 rushing yards and six touchdowns in their blowout victory.
